I loved this book. I love the way Elin writes and having Christmas themed books fills the only thing I was missing from her. I did find the story a little predictable, but most Christmas romcoms are. I hated how abrupt the ending was, but since it was part of a series, I understand the need for a cliffhanger. I am glad I waited to read the series until they were all out so I can just jump right into the next one!
nice holiday read. family dynamics are pretty realistic. as someone who doesn't particularly love the holidays, this was a nice read
This read like a dysfunctional family holiday movie and I thoroughly enjoyed this page-turner. I don’t normally like the “family problems” kind of dramas but this hooked me in through to the very last word. It ends on a cliffhanger and I desperately need book two in my hands now! It’s a very quick, light read - despite the fact that it deals with some pretty sad, and very realistic, issues.
Was this a groundbreaking story? No. But it was a perfect, light holiday read. I curled up in my favorite reading spot by the fire, snow falling outside and read it in one sitting. It won't end up on my favorites list, but I still plan on reading the remaining three in the series. Sometimes you just need the right books for the right season and these are it for me.

What you would expect. Decent characters who make mistakes in a beautiful Nantucket inn. Very twee,
3.5 Stars-Not my favorite of Elin Hilderbrand’s books. I liked the characters and the idea of the story but there were parts that seemed rushed and the cliffhanger ending was annoying because I didn’t expect it. I’m going to read the second in the series and hope the aspects I liked about this shine more than the parts I didn’t.
