Somehow I missed that this was a series which probably would’ve kept me from reading it. This is definitely not a light hearted holiday read. Lots of family drama, like real drama, and a major cliff hanger ending. I thought I had skipped a page at first it was so abrupt an ending. The book itself wasn’t terrible but I just couldn’t get invested in any of the characters.

A classic Elin series!! I’m already in love with the store and can’t wait to see where it develops in the next book!
Nice Christmas read, reminds me a little bit of Winter Solstice by Rosamund Pilcher. It ends with a cliff-hanger so I'd better snag the 2nd volume.

I have read almost everything that Elin Hilderbrand has written. I'm not sure why I'm not a fan of her Winterstreet Series. The characters are okay, they just aren't my favorite. It did not stop me from reading the rest of the books in the series because I had to know what happened next.
