funny mysterious

I was disappointed with this book. It had a great premise; college friends reuniting after many years and various falling outs. But the twists were a little too ridiculous and none of the characters had redeeming qualities.

As a Millennial who attended film school, knows an absurd amount about Alfred Hitchcock, and loves an ensemble thriller/mystery, I was the target audience for this book. Other than the films of Hitchcock, this book is also clearly influenced by "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie and "The Secret History" by Donna Tartt. It's great as a tribute to these works and mode of storytelling, but doesn't fully succeed at being an amazing work in its own right.

I may read it again at some point. I also will talk to my fellow Hitchcock devotees about it.

Did not like this all that much. Had some potential but then fell flat. I keep saying it’s probably because I have never seen a Hitchcock film or know a thing about the man, but my rating stands.

Fun little “Clue” like mystery with homage to Hitchcock.
If I read this instead of listening I don’t think I would’ve finished honestly.
