I'm taking a break from this series after this book. I'm hoping that a little time away will freshen the stories and the characters, because I'm pretty bored with the entire series right now after reading the first five books within the last couple of months. Even the big revelation in this book didn't hit me on an emotional level that you would expect from such a big moment.

adventurous lighthearted fast-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated
  • Diverse cast of characters? It's complicated
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated

(4.5) By this book I started to fly through the last three books. I still like how the Flames (flame cats) are watching over Charlie and that we don’t the real reason they are around until later. I didn’t really like that Olivia started to get too cocky with her found endowment.

A really awesome, fast-paced super-exciting adventure with lots of plot twists and mystery and thrilling bits (and the always important OMG moment). I CAN'T WAIT to read the next one!!!!! The characters are awesome, the plot is awesome, the setting is awesome - the book is just all-around awesomeness. IMAGINE my excitement and pure joy when I found out there were 8 books in the series in total!! (Because I read this series for the first time when I was in primary school, so that was about 6 years ago, and there were only 5 back then.)

I am starting to like this series more and more, it's warm and dreamy! The characters make humanly mistakes but they learn and nice things tend to happen to nice people in the end!

YES YES YES YES YESSSS!! Finally Charlie was able to find his father!! I've had suspicions of who it was since the second book in the series, and finally they were able to reunite.

This series just gets better and better with each new book ^_^

This was a book series that I started to read when I was a child and after re reading it I am happy to say that it is one I would still read. I find many of the turns predictable but that was part of the charm and the fact that I felt hope while reading the series really warmed my heart.
