I liked this book, read it on vacation and completely forgot to add it to my read list.

Well, this was a pleasent surprise. I honestly didn't know what to expect from this book and when I started reading, it was hard for me to connect to some of the problems the character's were facing. Especially Terry's. Marriage's troubles are way out of my knowledge pool but the story remained light enough for me to engage with the characters.

One thing is certain through the book: Shannon Stacey knows how to write about the complexity of relationships (between family members, lovers, parents and children) and mix it up with a good dose of comedy. Yeah, not just funny writing but good old fashioned, laughing out loud, comedy.

Even though, as I mentioned before, the age diference was a problem for me to relate to the problems' some of the Kowalskis were going through, the challenges they were trying to overcome were so common, so human, that it was easy to understand their struggle. It was easy to see where they were coming from, what fears they were facing, their insecurities and how hard it was to took courage to give a chance or letting go of the person you love.

Most importantly, this book really dives into the intricacy of love, friendship and effort. It takes hard work to keep a relationship alive, and Shannon Stacey doesn't shy away from this subject. Two people can be in love and married but not have a good time with each other anymore. Two people can be married but not be sure the other is still in love. Two people can love each other but not be sure that it's enough.

I especially loved how she made a connection between love and friendship; and how vital it's for both to be present in order for a relationship to survive. Laughter, enjoy each other's company and having fun together it's what keeps the flame alive. I had some doubts about whatever or not one of the couples would make it but I was really happy with the way things ended for all of them.

This was a very entertaining reading.

This was a quick, witty, easy read. Enjoyed both the hero and heroine and the family dynamics were awesome. Loved it!
lighthearted medium-paced

It was all right, it had its funny moments and it's cute moments, I just wasn't feeling it. I'll have to decide if I want to continue with the series or not.

1.16.13 - This is free right now for both the Nook and Kindle. Not sure for how long, though :D

Exclusively Yours is one of the best books I've read so far this year and to think I never heard of Shannon Stacey before I won the book in a contest (thanks to Julie James).

I just couldn't stop reading and I was so sad to go to work this morning instead of finishing the book- Shannon writing style just made me feel like I was at the camp with the Kowalski family- I was just so into the plot that I was sad when the book ended.

I just loved Joe and Keri and reading about the Kowalski family was so much fun, in so many romance books the characters are so perfect and I loved the fact this story was about real people with real problems.

I already have the second book in the series on my computer and since I have a 4 day weekend I'll have plenty of time to read it.

What a delight this first outing by author Shannon Stacey turned out to be. The heroine wasn't my favorite of all time, but her reasons for doing what she did and becoming the person she did were very well written (provided you read the whole book). Great characters and amusing dialogue.

Me encanta la familia Kowalski, son todos tan unidos y geniales.

Great book! Keri writes for one of those scandal magazines in Hollywood and she is sent by her boss to get an interview with Joe Kowalski, or lose her job. Since she had been Joe's high school sweetheart, her boss assumed she wouldn't have any problems getting this interview, but it was not so easy. They had broken up badly, and Joe was not being very cooperative. Joe's condition for giving her some answers, with definitive limitations on themes to discuss, was to join the annual Kowalski's camping of doom, for two weeks. The rest of the book is a riot. I loved Joe's little nephew Bobby with his happy trigger camera, yelling "cheese!" after the flash, not before. Loved the banter between brothers, Joe's mama who was like a matriarch, and all the funny, steamy scenes. The male characters were sensitive strong men, not he-man insensitive yahoos you see in other novels. I also liked that there was a second love plot, between Joe's sister Terry and her husband, who had been separated for three months.
