Lizzy is one of five girls nominated for Prom Queen. Despite all being friends, the girls outside of Lizzy are catty. Barely hidden resentment bubbles to the surface early, and shortly after, one of them disappears.
The red herrings aren't terribly convincing here, and that's largely because the actual motive isn't all that convincing either. The deaths are all tame. Lizzy's organization is plot important, but otherwise Lizzy is written very broadly, and I think that works here. This standard slasher fare. A middle of the road Fear Street.
