Wow..

I read the first book in the series and I wasn't completely sure I was going to like this one. Then I started reading it and I fell in love with this book the first book in my opinion there wasn't as much action. Anyways I'm in love with this book and nothing can change my mind.

This book was going good. It was super cringey at times but whatever. That was until we got to the last couple of chapters. That little miscommunication and assuming plot point at the end was completely unnecessary and almost ruined the book for me. Besides that it was okay. Not something super special but it was good and short. Nice quick read if you need something just for an afternoon. For me it’s a 3/5

I liked this one a bit better than the first! Cameron is intense, yes, but I didn’t feel like it was too much which I felt with Easton at some times. Paisley was relatable and I loved her friendship with Willow. Wasn’t a fan of the third act breakup, which is something I appreciated about the first book because it didn’t have it. Overall, fun read, especially when you have Easton and Drew make appearances throughout!

What starts off as a chance meeting at a baseball game turns into so much more when Paisley instantly feels and attraction to Cameron. But with Cam newly brought up to play in the major leagues was the timing based on who her father is? Or is Cam the real deal and falling for Paisley more important than his career? With characters the reader instantly falls in love with and a storyline that will tug on your heartstrings this was a fabulous read. I did not think that Kaylee Ryan could out shine Beyond the Bases but she absolutely knocked it out of the park. Outstanding from beginning to end.

So, have you ever wanted to read a book where literally nothing goes wrong and everything that could go right does? And then when you think "oh this for sure is where the author will create conflict" she doesn't and that happens like 10 times until you think maybe this author decided to just get rid of all writing conventions and just write a book with no conflict whatsoever. And then the book does introduce conflict in the last 50 pages that is so stupid, clearly a extreme reaction to a misunderstanding? Do you want to read that book? Yes? Then this is your book.

I adored Paisley and Cameron’s story. Kaylee Ryan is one of my go to authors for sweet, sexy, low angst romances. This was exactly that. I can’t wait for more of this universe.

dnf at like 40% - this book was beyond cheesy. I couldn't handle it. also, adults calling their dad "daddy" is so weird. Stop that.
