Oregon town has something going on with missing people, gorgeous girls, and Mexican protagonist unwillingly dragged there really couldn't care less - she just wants to get home to her real life and not worry about sweaters and rain and her brother and her mom's new family all the time.
Graphic: Murder, Death, and Violence
Moderate: Injury/Injury detail and Bullying
Minor: Car accident

In Nightfall is for readers seeking to sate their craving for The Lost Boys. Theo and Marco are not expecting there to be violence hidden in the darkness of a small town in Oregon. With themes of siblings, family ties and lust, In Nightfall provides a nostalgic genderbent twist on the cult classic film. Many scenes will be familiar to fans, plus the ending gives Buffy vibes.
The novel is a slow burn and ominous, though I wish the pacing was sped up. The build-up to the ending also didn't pay off for me and I never felt like the main characters were in any danger.
While fun for the nostalgia, In Nightfall isn't overly memorable and it just made me want to watch The Lost Boys.
