This book means so much to me as a young queer artist as I am sure it does to so many others. Wonderful art and story.

Such a deeply affecting story of trying to find one's way... exploring what gender means but even more so, what "self" means, how to connect with one's own impulses and preferences...

I really enjoyed a lot of MB's friends...e seems really surrounded by awesome people and in spite of the angst and difficulties, there's hope for eir becoming (for all of our becoming?) ... A grand unfolding.

Genderqueer was an emotional and touching narrative about the author's journey in gender and identity, and I felt the raw feelings in each colored panel and its accompanying words. A lovely read on what it means to grow up not feeling like either a girl or a boy and why that is completely okay, and it made my heart swell to see how e grew and became comfortable in eir identity throughout eir life in this comic.

As a white, genderqueer, and asexual person - I was disappointed in this book. I wish I had known about some of the content warnings (included below). I found the ending open-ended and unsatisfactory. Some of the parts were insightful and incredible to read, but overall, the story felt unfinished.
