siempre habrá opiniones contrarias para este libro, pero es hermosamente doloroso, tiene temas tan profundo y reales que te destruyen, jamás creí que un libro así me haría sentir que no puedo dejar solo al personaje

This book broke my heart. I struggled with deciding how I felt about it while I was reading it, but now that I’ve reached the conclusion I know. This book was graphic. It had graphic depictions of self harm among other things. I advise  sensitive readers take a good look at trigger warnings for this book.

This book broke my heart. For its ending. Such a graphic yet real and grounded depiction of friendship and love and life. At the things that make us who we are. At the way our friend’s visions of us impact our world and our path. It has brought my love for my friends to my focus.

Long buildup - Some chapters were almost 100 pages, and as someone who likes to finish a chapter before putting a book down, that made it feel very long. However, I can see why it was worth it, as it makes the last 100 pages even more intense. The book is heartbreaking (I often thought it was a bit too sad, but in the end that did feel like a necessary buildup), and beautifully written. The last 100 pages made me debate giving it a 4.5, but because of the really long chapters I did find picking up the book more dreading than usual (and since it is 750 pages I feel like I should not ignore that :))
