The Overtime Kiss  is the latest stand alone romance in The Love and Hockey series by Lauren Blakely. Tyler Falcon is a single dad to two adorable littles whose nanny has unexpectedly decided to move to be closer to her family. The team’s nickname for Tyler is hilarious and perfect, Daddy Falcon! Hilarious!! Sabrina is such a beautifully sweet, but slightly hurt soul who finds herself as a runaway bride and heads right into Tyler’s orbit!  The instant attraction between Tyler and Sabrina is so palpable.  The journey to love that these two take, is both beautiful and heartfelt. Will Tyler learn just how much he loves his children and hockey that he can have both a personal and professional life? Will Sabrina learn how to believe in herself and to trust her choices and finally stand up to her parents? I love the entire series but I am quite fond of both Tyler and Miles’(Tyler’s brother/The Girlfriend Zone) how they so easily bring new found significant others into their fold while showering them with so much needed love and acceptance. The Overtime Kiss by Lauren Blakely has so many feelings in this single-dad, nanny, and found family love story that I just couldn’t put it down til the end. The audiobook is narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Brooke Bloomingdale in duet narration. I love duet narration. Teddy Hamilton is a seasoned performer to my ears and as always he does not disappoint as Tyler Falcon. This is the first time I have listened to Brooke Bloomingdale and totally enjoyed her performance as Sabrina Snow. Both narrators bring Tyler and Sabrina to life providing a fun escape for a few hours. *****

Tropes:
-nanny x single dad
-hockey romance
-jilted bride
-duet narration
-FMC is a skating coach
-found family
-forced proximity
-sexy time lessons

The Love and Hockey series is fantastic, and The Overtime Kiss was no exception. I love the single dad x nanny trope, and Lauren delivered it. Tyler is the perfect MMC. He is patient, kind, and, most importantly, a wonderful dad. He puts his kids first.

Tyler has it bad for Sabrina. He has been pining over her since he first met her as his daughter’s skating coach. Unfortunately, she was engaged, and he thought he had no chance. Imagine his surprise when she runs into him at a bar after fleeing her wedding because she found out her fiancé was cheating.

I listened to the audiobook. Brooke Bloomingdale and Teddy Hamilton were fantastic, and the duet narration was phenomenal. I can’t recommend this book and series enough. Lauren perfectly weaves hockey, spicy, sweet, and emotional moments together. This book is available on KU. I hope you read it and love it, too.

Quotes:
When I’m with you, I feel confident. I feel free.” She pauses, like she’s thinking, really mulling over what to say. “And most of all, I feel safe.”

I feel like I’m glowing from the inside out. Because this man has always wanted to let me shine.

A drop of cherry juice slides down the length of the frozen treat. I watch it go. Even the Popsicle is so turned on, it’s close.

“I thought you were going to—”
“Fuck you against the door?”
“Yes.”
“I will, but you should know by now that I really like to eat first.”

“So, in the immortal words of Hamilton, what comes next?”
“You,”
“Me?”
“I plan on making you come again, baby. Many, many times.”

Alright, listen. Yes, I got an advanced listener copy of The Overtime Kiss by Lauren Blakely — but let’s be real. She’s my most-read author of all time for a reason. She consistently delivers solid, fun, spicy stories, and this one is no different. I loved it.

We start with our bride catching her fiancé cheating with her maid of honor — via voicemail. She doesn’t crumble. She calls him out right there, even though it costs her everything with her wealthy family. That moment sets the tone: she knows her worth, and she stands on it.

Now cut to her, struggling but independent, running into her longtime crush — the single dad of one of her skating students. From there, we get all the tropes: single dad, nanny, secret relationship, comfort scenes when the kids get sick — but done SO well. And even as someone who doesn’t usually gravitate toward kids in romance, the way it’s written actually enhances the story.

The chemistry? Off the charts. She’s never had great sex before, and he’s all too happy to help her work through that bucket list of fantasies. The emotional development feels natural, the spicy scenes are amazing, and I loved how the kids were part of the story without overwhelming it.

And since I listened to the audiobook — let me say it loud: I love that it’s duet narration. Full voice for each character, no matter who’s POV we’re in. It makes such a difference and always adds to Lauren Blakely’s already stellar storytelling.

Bottom line: I absolutely freaking loved this book. Fun, spicy, swoony, and such a good time.

The Overtime Kiss was a nice addition to the Love and Hockey Series! This single dad/nanny, hockey romance was so entertaining! I loved every moment of this audiobook! Brooke Bloomingdale and Teddy Hamilton were so good at this duet narration!

Sabrina and Tyler were an amazing couple and I enjoyed watching their relationship evolve. The attraction that was somewhat forbidden, but nonetheless so intense made the progression of their romance captivating. From spicy lessons to real feelings, the steamy moments between them were sizzling. Sabrina was also really good with his kids, Luna and Parker, and it was the cutest thing. They truly created a beautiful bond.

The whole cast made this story fantastic! I liked revisiting the couples from the previous books in the series, but also meet the new characters. The Overtime Kiss is a must read for sure!
