Honestly, I don't know how I felt about this book. I think I can sum it up in the reaction of my best friend who read it: "It was TERRIBLE! But also so, so good." By now, Sarah Dessen's formula is just that: formulaic. But in some books she executes that formula better than others, and this isn't among her best.

To me Sarah Dessen books are usually 50% romantic story and 50% family/ self problems. But this one definitely more on the family/ self problems. The second she mentioned her milt-personality change at every new place, I knew that was going to be a issue later. I would have liked to know what happened with Dave and her though. That picture at the end could have meant anything really. But overall it was a cute story with all the familiar places and people from the other books. Not my favorite of hers though.
As usual, another great story by Sarah Dessen. I really enjoyed the complexity of the main character Mclean and the dynamics of how she deals with her parents' divorce. The supporting characters were great as well, and it was a great story

Classic Sarah Dessen. Summery, emotional, and relatable. Can't ask for anything more.
