Great book. Should be listed as mandatory for those curious about global economics and the future of our world from a financial perspective.

Bellissimo e completo quadro sulle dinamiche delle crisi e in particolare quella dei mutui subprime. Molto tecnico ma i concetti anche quelli di macroeconomia sono ben spiegati.

The economic history was interesting but at times I skimmed it. His analysis of the most recent economic crisis was why I bought the book and I wasn't disappointed.

The subtitle is lame, but the book is excellent. Good overview of the history of crisis in capitalism, something that was incredibly frequent prior to the reforms instituted during the Great Depression. Then a clear look at what got us into this particular crisis - and what didn't - followed by an analysis of options for long-term improvements to the financial system. Definitely recommended.

The original prophet of economic doom, Nouriel Roubini lays bare the spiraling greed that inspired, irrigated and ignited the calamitous financial crisis of 2008. Governments will learn from this, the layman will both fume and fret, while investment bankers would collectively wish to put bullets through the heads of the authors!

He was right in predicting the crash, but he's wrong about the cause for it and how to fix it ....

I'm not really qualified to provide any criticism of the economics of the book, but I found the historical aspects interesting and the policy prescriptions logical.
