This book was a bit of a slog for me to read. It is set over the course of a week, and many of those days drag on too long. However, the prevailing theme that you never know what kind of impact you’ll have on somebody’s life is the payoff. I would classify this as a beach read, but it doesn’t start very lighthearted, and deals with big emotions and mental health matters.

This book took me a long time to get into due to its pace. While there was strong character development and changes, it felt very unrealistic for it all to happen in 5 days, and gradually change each day. I felt as if we were constantly turning a sharp corner to the next thing happening instead of a gradual flow into it. However, it felt as chaotic as it maybe should have been with all the different storylines and personalities considered. Not a terrible read, but not one I would not reread.
