The novel touched upon navigating loss and healing from it (at least trying to), struggles of marriage, and kindling new relationships. I love the reflective parts of the novel, and Phoebe’s character development and hopefulness which changed course of her life as a whole; the story is quite literally the meaning of a second chance, not just for the protagonist but for the other characters as well.
The book is very well-written that it allows you to truly root for those who are part of it. Although there are some moments / happenings that were a bit questionable for me—towards the end—and didn’t sit well with me but at the same time it’s realistic and it happens so I understand.
The story is somehow heavy and lighthearted at the same time, a blissful read nonetheless.

wasn’t sure what to expect from this book but it delivered! although initially dealing with heavy subject matter, this book feels light and cheery, a story of how your entire outlook on life can change by running into the right wedding people
i was really liking this until they introduced gary's character and the possible romance between phoebe and him so yeah
