This book was super easy to read. It was quick, easy to get lost in, and didn't take any brain power. But I didn't love it. I wanted more from the ending; it seemed much too abrupt. I wanted more about the 'suspense' aspect of the book. That was wrapped up much too easily. I wanted more from the male MC's perspective. The female lead elaborates on every single thought and feeling that crosses her mind. But when the book switches to the man, it's much more clinical, almost like from a distance. And honestly, my biggest problem was how the author kept describing the suction in the male MC's kiss. She must have pointed it out 10 times. Was he a Hoover?
This was an okay book in my opinion, but not great.

Surprised I like this more than the Stanton Adore series. I wasn’t sure if I’d vibe with this since I didn’t have a great time reading that series, but was pleasantly surprised! The couple in this book is hot and heavy and the tension is pretty good.
At first their back and forth between f*cking and fighting was pretty tiresome but eventually they found their way. Basically what I’ve learned from romance books is never sleep with anyone if you’re new to the area because they will 100% turn out to be your boss. 🤷🏻♀️
Emily is on her way to NYC for an interview from a wedding where she gets upgraded to first class and meets this hot, dazzling, well-dressed man. They immediately start flirting and eventually hook up. Fast forward a few and she gets the job and the hottie from the plane is the owner of the company she interviewed for.
Highlights:
📌 Billionaire
📌 Workplace Romance

This was good! I found it extremely similar to the third story, they had very parallel story lines. Same complaints at the third one, the story is way too long, the male lead is too controlling and unkind at times, while the female lead gives it back but also forgives too easily. These books are good, interesting and light reads.

The characters were shit people in a toxic relationship, with sex as the only positive thing.
Too much stuff, Jameson is biggest turn off, just can't stand this book, and don't think I'm going to finish this or even I'm going to continue this series😮💨
