I loved the fact that the topics of societal expectations based on gender and sexuality were explored so deeply through all of the conversations in this book. All of the different points of view showed so much empathy and brought in much needed nuance to topics that are often talked about as black and white. Gave me so much to think about.

I can only imagine the struggles women face. Getting to know their bodies, becoming comfortable with them, all while trying to meet societal expectations must be sooo exhausting.

I thought this book was beautiful, and I did really enjoy it. It was just that it was not particularly exciting or thrilling that I give it only 3 stars. It did not keep me coming back to it. But it even though it was calm and perhaps even uneventful, I thought the writing was spectacular. It explored themes of womanhood that have thus far been unknown to me. Very thought provoking.
