Ehhhhhh!!

So this is on me, I didn’t know this book was a prelude to her other book, “Pretty Girls”. And from what other reviewers have said, a reader should read “Pretty Girls” first, and then this one. I am on the wait list for “Pretty Girls”. And I will retract my words or issue mea culpa, if after reading “Pretty Girls”, I see the wisdom in writing this prelude. As of right now, I don’t see any need for “Blonde Hair, Blue Eyes”. Obviously it’s a quick read, but I wish I hadn’t wasted my time.

Julia, a student writing for her college newspaper, delves deep into a mysterious case of two local missing young women. As she becomes increasingly engrossed in the investigation, she is getting closer and closer to answers, but is she getting too close to a danger that threatens her own safety?

According to other reviews I have read this is supposed to be a prequel for Pretty Girls (which is a book I LOVE) but that was not clear when I chose to read this. Maybe I would have felt differently had I had that mindset while I was reading, but I just didn't like this. It was basically all exposition, and then as soon as the story was gaining any momentum, it ended. Just completely stopped. Which I guess is supposed to lead into Pretty Girls, but this prequel added absolutely nothing.

The last line of this book literally gave my chills. Pretty Girls is one of my favorite books ever and I loved getting to know Julia more.
