This is such an adorable, fun read! I definitely enjoyed myself!

So the beginning was a bit boring and typical teenager-like which I rolled my eyes at. However, once Sam and Hannah met, it was a whole other book! I really loved the back and forth between Sam and Hannah and the awkward situations that kept them apart. Definitely for older teens with the content but worth the read.

I enjoyed the book, I needed to read something with humor, and weirdness. I have to say I laughed to myself on some parts this book was definitely not what I was expecting it to be. Lol

It wasn’t really a love story per say, but more of a losing your virginity before you left for college.

I gave it 4 stars, because I enjoyed the simply different read. Would I tell you to rush out and buy it? No!

this book was awkward like extremely awkward and i won’t say i loved it bc i didn’t but i strongly liked it because its not a fantasy fake romance novel that has fake first times where everyone suddenly just knows how to be in a relationship

4.5

This book circulated around Booktube at one point, but is definitely one of the under-the-radar type. It was very enjoyable, the witty remarks got me chuckling for good ten minutes after reading them and it was all in all adorable.

SpoilerWhat was with the ending scene? :D

I DNFed this because I think putting pressure on yourself go lose your virginity is antiquated and harmful. It made me too angry so I had to put it down

After thirty-six hours of listening to The Passage, A Totally Awkward Love Story was quite a break in comparison, in length as well as tone. That is by no means to say that A Totally Awkward Love Story was not a good book, just totally different.

Hannah intends to lose her virginity to Freddie at Stella’s party that evening, but he’s late. While she’s loitering in the bathroom, Sam knocks on the door, but as Hannah’s about to leave they fall into a conversation and hit it off. She becomes “Ribena Girl” because of their shared love for hot Ribena and he becomes “Toilet Boy.” It’s love at first sight.

when heard this book was like the show skins, I didn't expect it to actually be so similar to the show (just in the feel and tone of the novel, not really the characters or plot itself). i expected to like this book more than I did which is kind of disappointing BUT I still quite enjoyed it. it was hard to put down at times and was fun. (also this is book 7 for the booktubeathon and I'm so happy that I actually read 7 books for this readathon in 7 days haha)

Super cute. I'd probably read this again at somepoint, even though it's meant more for 15-20 year olds.
