I've read the Demigods of San Francisco series and have been waiting years for this spin-off, but because so much time has passed I had forgotten quite a bit of the OG series. I wish that we would've gotten a little more of an update with the OG characters, it seems like nothing has changed in the last 5 years. I remember being curious about Zorn and Bria and expecting to get a glimpse of their relationship.
It took me a while to get into this book, I found myself putting it down a lot in the beginning. The story did pick up for me once the MMC made more of an appearance. Not too much happens plot wise which is surprising considering the length of the book, but now having reached the end of the book I do feel the journey was worth it! I'm excited for the next book and I hope it remains a duology.
