I loved it! This was one of those books that I was super sad to finish.  I loved following the Queens of Crime around as they attempted to solve a murder case. I love books that take place in the inner war period, and enjoyed getting a peak into the lives of some authors that I already enjoyed!

Barely 2 stars for this very disappointing book. The idea was so intriguing but the mystery was boring, the characters insufferable and the writing just clumsy. At times it felt like it was hardly edited.

 Not for me. Didn't connect with any of the characters and the incessant statements about sexism detract from the tale. I'm not denying the sexism or defending it; just stating that once, twice, maybe three times pointing it out would have been sufficient. Surely she trusts her readers to remember her point. Very slow pacing and the reveal at the end is ridiculous.
