If you started the series on Apple TV and you want to find out more that the series is offering, this is where you need to start. I felt like there are gaps, and even though after book one I do not know what I wanted to know yet, I am invested and I have a lot more detail than the TV series offers. The books are well written and you get information from both silos back and forth, just like in the series. I look forward to see where things are going to go in book #2.

I watched the show Silo and decided to read the book after. I’m really glad I did -I enjoyed the book a lot but I think I would have had a hard time following it without the visuals from the show.
If you like a good dystopian novel with a strong female lead, it’s a very solid work! Howey’s writing is a pretty unique style - I love the way and pace he describes events and people. One of the interesting things about his style in this book is that his stories all connect but are pretty sequential. The characters we spend time with in the beginning and middle are not the ones at the end, and he introduces new characters all the way through to the end. It’s unusual but I liked it!
