A friend lent me the series, after my utter confusion jumping into the Netflix show.
I’m not 100% sure what I just read, but the art was charming enough, and the humor is definitely there!! Letting the world take over and just saying “sure, alright” is hard for me, but let’s see where this goes!

Revisiting Scott Pilgrim after more than a decade, probably, before I watch the Netflix show (and also, to be frank, to juice my number of books read this year, hahaha). I still find it fun!

I started reading the series after watching the anime. It’s cool to see where story came from. But it’s not great. Doesn’t flow as well. It also aged badly. Guess it makes sense I’d like it less, since I have seen the later and much better iterations.

It may be slightly old but the first volume of Scott Pilgrim is still a delightfully silly and fun time. I picked it up for the first time in about a decade and instantly remembered why I love it so much the first time around. Light, funny, and filled with heart.
Surprisingly, this comic was better than the movie. I was constantly surprised by how much the movie followed so closely to the comic, throughout the comic I kept going “oh my gosh that is exactly the same.” Unsurprisingly, though I have to say that I like that graphic novel much more than the movie because of just how much funnier it is.

Había olvidado que leí este cómic en septiembre de 2023, ni siquiera pude terminar de leer el resto de tomos. Scott es la típica encarnación del chico que nunca tocó una chica y en vez de dialogar suelta puras guarradas y prefiere las de 17-18 años (algo terriblemente creepy para mí),muy onda Denji de ya saben de qué manga, y la única soportable acá era Queen Ramona. Se merecía darle más rechazos a Scott si era posible.
