Absolute page turner. Totally worth it even if you've seen the movie and or cartoon, I recommend buying a paperback because of the panel art.

I was very lucky to read Scott Pilgrim while they were first being published in black and white and they blew my mind. Not only did I grow up with Scott, I also started as an unlikable, self-centred, arrogant, smug, lazy nerd who happened to be the greatest fighter in his region. I've since given up that life, but even going back, I appreciate the colour versions even more and would argue it's now the best way to enjoy. The first book is slim and less funny than some of the others, but it sets the tone and damn well knows itself. It is insanely funny, sweet and unashamedly geeky.
