“I am Tessa Gray,” she said in a low, clear voice. “And I believe in the importance of stories.”

I LOVED THIS.
Tessa is my all time favourite. I was so happy to see the London Institute crew. Jem/Tessa/Will is magic. Will and Gabriel's banter. Tessa and Cecily working together. And Jessie. I'm overcome with Jessamine feels. :')

So good!
Loved reading about the actual Jack the Ripper and stuff. That was really quite brilliant.
I love, love, love how much Simon and Jace are getting along. It's really awesome. It's so cool how Jace has become a person who is completely willing to help people who may not be as good as him (and lets face it-who isn't?) (There was a total "Wicked" reference in there for those who get it.) and not be uppity about it.
William, my heart breaks every time I think about you. Such a smart aleck. Sharp as a whip.

Best one so far. Can't wait to read the rest!

i haven't read the infernal devices series, so i only know the generals of the story of will, tessa and jem-- it was nice to get to know more about them in this short story though, even though i've always felt the way things ended for them and how it tied in to TMI was a little too... convenient. i must admit i didn't much care for this whole "this is what REALLY happened with jack the ripper" part of the story-- it almost feels like every writer must have one of those and this one wasn't the most interesting take on it. i loved seeing jace learn a bit more about his family, though, and more than anything i looooove that simon has decided to start communicating with isabelle in the RIGHT way rather than just trying to push her away until he has everything figured out (which, really, you'll never have EVERYTHING figured out, you silly boy). bonus points for george being awesome. i'm still expecting him to be a herondale, btw, cassie.

I loved this account of events giving us a glimpse on the characters of TID after a few years. And how it deals with the topics at hand.
