I loved alec and magnus and isabelle a bit, simon was somewhere up there aswell. Jace was just arrogant at times but funny other times, so i have a love/hate with him. I find Clary to be a irratating character, she flip-flops between loveble and annoying.

The worst thing about this book was the writing, it is obvius that this book was fanfiction in the bad way. I also dislike that the book is almost only in Clarys POV, i think the book could be better if we had multi POV (like Six of Crows).

Cassandra Clare is one of the better authors of the ya-fantasy genre and if you overlook her ripping of another writer, you can actually enjoy this book. The characters and the storyline are fine and it's easy to read. But what is that awful "is it or isn't it incest" storyline. We definitely could have done without it, ma'am.
