Well, the ending was unsatisfactory, but also a but predictable. And now I have a new series to read. Ugh.

This book was so good!!! I loved the story and all the characters. That cliffhanger…..I immediately had to download the next book right after I finished. I Highly recommend this book.

I really enjoyed the mystery in this book! I thought the concept was really interesting, and I can't wait to see where the next book goes with the twist ending of this one. HOWEVER. The romance was unnecessary. I felt like this with the other books I've read from her, but I just don't think she writes believable chemistry/attachment very well? There was absolutely no need for a romantic subplot, and I feel like the "love-triangle between brothers" thing doesn't really work for me. There is, for me, such thing as TOO angsty when it comes to romance, and this just feels over-the-top for no reason. But other than my complaints about that, this book was really interesting, and I'm very excited to read the next one.
3.5
The Inheritance Games is fast-paced and I was engaged from start to finish. The clues that the characters had to solve were creative, clever and mysterious and I enjoyed trying to work it out with them.
However, the relationship between Avery and the Hawthorne brothers felt weird and inappropriate. The ending was disappointing and didn't reflect the mysterious buildup of the rest of the book. The characters' reactions to major life events felt unrealistic and childish, and the overall lack of character depth made it hard to feel any real connection towards them.

Audiobook
Unique & entertaining story. I think I might have enjoyed it more if I read it instead of listening.

Please the trust issues this book gave me. I could not trust anyone- even the good guys. I loved this book and I am excited to finish the series!! Team Grayson, unpopular opinion I know.
