I utterly loved this book. Every detail in her writing feels intentional, from vivid scene descriptions to subtle character movements, making the story all the more absorbing. As someone who doesn't have a sister (rather a little brother), Coco Mellors beautifully captures the intricacies of sisterhood with stunning detail. Her portrayal of addiction is poetic and therapeutic, gently guiding readers through the themes of recovery while the sisters navigate their own chaos. Nicky's absence is palpable throughout, her presence acting as a calm anchor that powerfully contrasts with the raw and relatable struggles of the living sisters. Mellors doesn't invite pity for their hardships; instead, she fosters understanding, resonating deeply with anyone who has faced life's challenges and wrestled with the tension between clinging to the past and moving forward.

What a beautiful mess of a book. I mean everyone’s life is self-sabotaged falling apart, but grief can do that to you. Writing was good, just a few repetitive descriptions and things that irked me, but overall pleasant and rich. Ending from the POV of a new born baby was weird though…

wow i cried ! Sisters are so special and this book really encapsulates that. The complexity of a sister relationship is like no other. I thought this book was beautiful and realistic of actual life problems and the issues we can have within our families. Loved
