I don't have siblings but this felt like a raw presentation of both the sibling dynamic and addiction.

Oh this book. Besides just being beautifully written, the characters in this story are so specific, yet they embody such universal struggles, feelings, and hopes. A beautiful story about the ineffable bond of sisters, breaking the cycle of familial trauma, and being your true self with the support of those who love you.

This is like reading some sort of retelling of Little Women. Maybe that's what the author had in mind.

All of the characters are imperfect and personalities of their own. They grieve differently and I loved how everyone's pain is different.

I have personal issues with the character of Lucky, and in some parts Nicky's endometriosis story was a bit off (e.g. hysterectomy wouldn't stop endometriosis).
