A female from Earth with grief issues, a male from another planet with a highly matriarchal society. They’ve both got their hang ups and I loved the way they interacted. I’ve read the story twice and, even the second time, it made me tear up at a couple of points because of the rawness and genuineness of the emotions.

The secondary characters are delightful and the overlap between stories makes the reader feel engaged in the characters’ ongoing lives. I’m really enjoying this author’s writing - every book is better than the last.

The story is dual POV, well written and edited, and beautiful accidental mate story. I received an advanced reader copy (that I asked for) in exchange for an honest review.
