What a Lovely Story!

Occasionally I step away from the darker and unhinged stories for something sweet and lovely.

The story is about Branson as he navigates life and love in New York. He quickly meets Noel and Milo, and they form a throuple. It's such a beautiful story, and I could tell that some parts were personal to the author (and also to me).

I loved this book; it really moved me! I laughed, gasped, and cried.

AND there's a lot of spice

Well that was very hot but also so very sweet at the same time!

We follow Milo, Branson and Noel as they learn to trust and love each other.

These three men have trouble past but also goals for the futur. Branson made a promise to his father before his death: to be happy. And he sets his mind to reach to happiness, and turns out this happiness has two names: Milo, his new roommate, and Noel, a one night hookup.

This book has some insta love vibes, these three falling very fast for each other but it didn’t bother me at all. It’s also an insta lust between all three, Branson and Noel having already hooked up. And when Milo catches and watches them, it becomes clear they all want more.

This book deals with some heavy subject too (trigger for violence and parent’s death). I teared up at the end (you’ll have to see why by yourself when you read it).

I never expected to read a book with a watersport link before and somehow it was alright, not something I enjoyed but it went with the flow of the smut scene.

Loved loved loved the two epilogues

Branson, Noel, and Milo make the most unlikely throuple that absolutely would perfectly together. The book is pretty low angst despite some trauma and loss that the characters have experienced in their past.

While the book has some instalove vibes the relationship isn't without some conflict because each of the individuals have things they're battling.

This is definitely one you need to read if you love a balanced triad as much as I do.

Wow there was so much deep emotion enveloped in some seriously hot intimate times with these three men. Branson is sassy and determined in his loss. Noel needs to figure out what he really wants from life and how to make it happen despite his destiny, and Milo just wants to be safe and happy. I adored Milo so hard here. I have to say there was no unique form of intimacy not experienced between these three. I felt his really added to how genuine and honest their connection really was

ARC Read

I loved Milo, Branson & Noel together they were all broken men in some way who came together to heal each other. The different connections that they formed with each other at the same time were perfect it really felt like a three way relationship were they all loved each other rather than two people loving one person and putting with the other. It felt like they were the missing piece to each other’s puzzle just wandering around waiting to be found.

The only reason this didn’t receive a 5 star review is because I feel like we didn’t equally learn about all 3 characters Noel’s struggles with his father being ill and him not really having an interest in the company he ran were only touched upon when they were fundamental to the story same with us not getting a full understanding of what Milo’s dad did to him we only got bits and pieces. Whereas I feel like we learnt everything we could about Branson.

I really enjoyed this! I wasn’t sure what to expect because I didn’t love the first book but this definitely went beyond my expectations. I loved Branson, he was so fun, and the way his relationship developed with Noel and Milo. They were three broken men and they were perfect for each other. I also really like some of the side characters like Milo’s sister Mia and August and Caleb from book 1. I’m excited to see what C.S is going to write next!

This is a steamy and heartwarming romance about three very different men just trying to find their missing piece.

Milo is the outcast. The starving artist with all of the trauma.
Branson is the bubbly, mug collecting, rugby playing accountant who figures out that 2 is better than 1.
Noel is the hotel tycoon who has never seen commitment.

They love so fully and completely that when things get rocky, they crumble.

I think the only reason this isn’t a 5 star for me is because Milo never felt like an actual part of the throuple. I kept waiting for it to click but I just didn’t buy it. It really hurt my heart because he needed that.

Overall, this was a good additional to the Guarded Hearts series. This book can be read as a standalone but is best read in order as to not ruin the story of the previous MC characters book. This book may have been named Branson's Promise but it definitely was Milo's book as much as it was Branson's. While I loved learning more about Branson and Milo wish there was more depth to Noel. However, this was not bad for C.S Autumn's 2nd novel. It was definitely a good tribute to Branson, finally finding his true loves.

I read this in less than a day, so clearly enjoyed it. Noel, Milo, and Branson are all endearing and the way they care for one another is a delight. The spice was good and spicy, if sometimes a bit hard to buy - and also very sweet. The writing wasn’t the strongest - some dialogue a bit stilted, some phrases repeated - but not so much that it took away from my enjoyment of this sweet, sexy love story.
