This was absolutely adorable! I love the fake dating (engagement) trope - it's one of my favorites! And the entire relationship between Will and Lexi was so sweet and adorable from the start.

I'll admit that I didn't like Lexi at first. In the very beginning, she had several moments where it seemed like she was frozen and completely in her head while everyone was waiting for an answer. Or at least, as the reader, I was holding my breath waiting for her to respond. But that was only at the very beginning.  Then she seemed to find her voice and some spunk, and I quickly changed my opinion. I loved her by the end!

I loved the relationship between her and Will! It was so sweet and very swoon-worthy. I was honestly surprised by how much I ended up loving this book, considering how dubious I was about Lexi in the beginning. But clearly, I fell in love with it.

What a charming lighthearted read!

I love a book that has a fun and flirty meet cute between the two MC’s.  Lexi meets Will during an embarrassingly comical attempt at waitressing.  The two agree to go out on a date and a misunderstanding has everyone thinking they are engaged.

Lexi and Will decide to continue the ruse and their relationship begins to evolve.  I loved the Fall vibes and the apple picking date was just adorable.

It was refreshing to read a book where the love felt like it grew naturally.  Will and Lexi really got to know one another and respected each other.

Sullivan was able to weave a beautiful story of romance with heartbreak, grief and ultimately growth.  You 𝑐𝑎𝑛’𝑡 ℎ𝑒𝑙𝑝 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑓𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑖𝑛 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 with Lexi, Will and all the side characters.

I love Sophie’s books and this one is another win that I highly suggest picking up!!

Thank you Netgalley and St Martins Press for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

I moderately enjoyed this read and it was certainly very quick and easy. It felt quite generic in its conflict and overall just felt a little bland.
