Thank you St. Martin's Griffin and NetGalley for the eARC of Can't Help Falling Love. All opinions in this review are my own.
Unfortunately, I had to DNF this one. There was too much about how bad Lexi is as a waitress in the beginning and then by the time it got to the actual story, I couldn't understand why she cared so much about people from high school. When I realized I was skimming more than reading, I knew it was time to stop.
Lexi and Will meet at a restaurant she’s working at and it spirals into a fake dating trope. She’s struggling to make bills and he is from money. Will is so cute with his passion immediately toward Lexi!

Super cute fall read, perfect for a light-hearted seasonal romance pick!
The main character is obnoxiously clumsy but that is only in the first few chapters, her character becomes more likable and believable after they leave the restaurant. Will is your fun typical MMC in a romance. He has ogles of money and falls for the cute waitress immediately.
If you enjoy fake-dating this book is for you.

DNF at 16%. I really tried on 3 separate occasions to get into the book but I don't think the author's writing style is for me. It was my first time reading a book from this author. I appreciate the ARC from Netgalley.

I loved this book, it was the perfect palette-cleanser for the end of the year! This was my first Sophie Sullivan book and I absolutely feel in love with Sophie’s writing! I also thought the timeline of the book was superb and nothing felt rushed!
Will and Lexi were both written to be super relatable in various ways, and I found myself relating to different aspects of each of their lives! I also loved how immersive and thoughtful the secondary characters were written—I absolutely LOVE Kyra!!!
The plot, the characters, the vibes? I love them all I need to live in this world!
