i thought this was adorable and an easy read. i love fake relationships, and this was no exception.
pros:
- the process of lexi realizing not everyone has their shit together
- them falling in love
- her relationship with her mom + trying to understand her grief
cons:
- i think less people should've known the truth. i think his sister's all knowing was too much, and just his friend ethan should've known
- i didn't like the switching between calling her mom "mom" and "gwen" - the first name basis implies things were worde than they were
- the resolution. besties you've know each other 6 weeks

Can’t Help Falling in Love is such a sweet Autumnal read. It just felt so cozy, like being wrapped up in a flannel blanket, and falling in love ♡︎ I look forward to everyone else getting to read it soon! Lexi and Will are so sweet & pure and I am down bad for anything set in my homeland, the PNW

This was such a sweet, heartfelt romance!!
The low down:

Synopsis: Lexi and Will could not be more different in their opposite upbringings to their current situations in life. So when, in a split second decision to impress old friends, Lexi infers that Will is her significant other, Lexi and Will go from complete strangers to accidentally engaged in the blink of an eye. Not wanting to disregard the potential they are feeling, they figure it can’t hurt to let everyone continue to think they’re engaged while they date, right?
Will as the mmc was an absolute sweetheart. You could tell he had a good head on his shoulders and made such thoughtful and caring choices all throughout the story. Lexi was a *little* harder to love, as she was fiercely independent and so sure falling in love was not her kind of thing. But alls well that ends well and their journey to a HEA was a fun one!!
I thought the dynamic with Lexi’s mom and her grief was so well done and added so much depth to the story.
This is the kind of romance that gives hallmark movie vibes, but in a good way! I can’t wait to read my next Sophie Sullivan book!!

All in all this is a good book!! I think it was a very simple book with a reused idea, so that's why I'm not giving it three stars, but it made me laugh and was an easy read and made me laugh, so 2.75 stars!
This book was so cute! It focuses on our two main characters, Lexi and Will. While both characters had their fair share of differences, their differences balanced them out and really allowed them to fit nicely as a couple. If you're into the following tropes: fake dating and friends-to-lovers, you will enjoy this book. While I found it to be a bit slow at some points, overall, I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cute, light-hearted read!
