This was a beautiful little story. I started the audiobook with my girlfriend, she'd watched the movie and wanted to read it. For some reason she didn't like it, i think the movie is WAY more fantastical (I have not seen it yet) than the book. But it gets all my stars because it has heart, and is full of love despite everything.

Thanks Mrs Patterson.

Reading this is becomes apparent how old this book is. The story might be timeless, but every adult in this book straight up sucks.

I had seen the movie a lot of years ago and I just recently found out it was based on a book from 1977!
I decided to read the book and I loved it. Of course, since the book is aimed at a younger audience it was very easy to read with a big font, but I didn't mind much. I think even as an adult one can learn something from a story like this. It was definitely somewhat emotional and I had to almost hold back some tears at times. Especially because I knew where the story was gonna go...

Not as good as I thought it'd be. Kind of hard to get through. Sad, but not as emotional as I expected it to.

(that's it. that's the review.)

Last time I read this was in 4th grade for Battle of the Books. I love how raw and simple it is. I cried, not many books can make me cry.
