The majority of this book was really boring but at least the end was good.

It was very mid. I struggled to read it. I ended up having to get the audiobook to read it to me. There’s so much “nothingness” happening in this book. Almost like there was a page count quota that had to be reached. You spend so much time doing absolutely nothing important or could’ve been condensed down. I enjoyed the climactic ending and that’s about it. I mean how many times can the characters have sex and it be magically earth changing?

And I love the first Crescent City book. It’s literally my favorite book of all time. But this just felt very stale.

This one took me way longer to finish than the first two, because I needed constant breaks after all the emotional damage. It was still so good though. 4.5 or so ⭐️
