I thought that this was a very cute story! I listened to it so it was definitely a shorter audiobook than I’m used to but I liked how well-paced the story was. Also, there were times where I felt like the story could have taken a more thriller turn but didn’t so I appreciated that it was kind of light-hearted and a cute fall spooky romance. I thought all the characters were so cute and the house and the town had that comedic aspect to it that brightened up the story!
This was a fun read. Can't wait until book two. This would also be a cute series
From the moment Riley Everett set foot in Starfall Point, magic bubbled inside of her. But with only her late aunt's journals and a cantankerous live-in ghost butler to instruct her on all things witchy—including her newly inherited Victorian haunted house—Riley seeks out a coven for sisterhood and support. The last person she expects to be drawn to is the town's frustrating, yet ridiculously attractive head librarian.
This was both a paranormal romance and a mystery.
I enjoyed the way that the author has built this world and I look forward to reading more in this series.

I had the best time ever reading this book. Molly Harper is always good for a laugh and some paranormal hijinx.

Listened to on Audible. I really like the female characters that are central to this story and their unlikely but believable friendship. However, I did not care for the romance - it felt forced and poorly developed. The one love scene felt like it was thrown in there just to attract readers who enjoy a steamy scene and frankly, I fast-forwarded through it after a couple of eye-rolling seconds.
I really like the world of magic and ghosts and I just wish we got to spend more time on that than the romance that was tepid at best.
