It took me a while to get into this book when I realized it would not be a continuation of Ella and Reed’s story. While I miss them I think ending their story in book 3 was a good move because anymore focus on them would have dragged it out especially when they have gotten over the major drama points that put a strain on their relationship.
I liked Easton a lot in books 1-3 but now that we get his POV, I’m not sure if I’m liking him the same way. I spent a good portion thinking he was kind of pathetic and he could have found better ways to deal with all the shit he had going on. Also I think book 4 really backtracked on the friendship that Easton and Ella were building.
Now let’s talk about Easton and Hartley who are the two main POVs that we read in book 4. I enjoyed getting to see things from Easton’s POV and seeing his character get developed more (even if some of his thoughts were really icky). About 50% into the book is when I found myself sucked in and wanting to see how his friendship with Hartley would develop. Hoping that by book 5 Easton will take the time to think more before he does things so he can stop self sabotaging.
Um, that ending…wtf!!! Elle Kennedy and Jen Frederick stop hurting me!!
