This book has a pregnancy trope in it. While I’m not a fan of said trope, Elsie writes her characters so well, especially her male main characters that it’s something I could easily overlook. Who wouldn’t than a Theo in their life tbh?

I really liked the change-up in the dynamic of bad-boy afraid of love and sunshine girly makes him want a relationship because this mMC loves a lot and is not afraid to love hard while the fMC has suffered in the past because of a variety of things making her distancing  herself emotionally and act a little self-distructive.

For a trope I usually really dislike this was executed quite well. Trying not to spoiler anything...the reaction of the mMC to the child seemed genuine and was better than what usually happens in these romances.

But there are a lot of tiny things I would critize...but only quite small things like some none inclusive language that unfortunately add up which is why this book was not able to reach 5 stars.

I loved Winter and Theo together! They way Theo pushed Winter’s buttons to the point of verbal warfare cracked me up! And when he finds out about Vivi…..*heart melts* 🥹

Theo and Winter have by far the best book in the series! Their chemistry is undeniable and the way they bond over their shared struggle melts my heart. I think every little obstacle they met make sense both to the story and in a real relationship. Their story felt raw and real and they worked through trust issues and feelings of abandonment to raise their daughter together. Banter and plot 10/10!
