The format of this was different than the rest of the books in the series. In this we get a time jump and, for the majority of the book, I was mad we didn't get more of what led up to Winter finding out she was pregnant. (Not a spoiler.)

In any case, secret baby in this book didn't mean what I was expecting it to because more than the father didn't know who the father was at first. I was expecting secret baby to mean the mother finds out she's pregnant and is concerned with how the father will react so she delays the news. I did think it was a stretch that Winter wouldn't have told at least some of her close friends and family.

I also didn't love the twist when Winter tells Theo she's pregnant. But, I did love how Theo stepped up after a while and how sweet he was with their daughter. He was such a good father. (Trying to be vague here to avoid spoilers.) I also loved Theo's mom and Peter the dog. I'm a big country music fan and I loved the country music references in this book.

Favourite quote: "That night we were reckless. But god, I'd be reckless with you over and over again if it means ending up here."

This one is my favourite. The way they had like grumpy sunshine dynamic it was the best I loved how teasing Theo was and how he was joking and trying to make her smile. Overall Theo is the best.

This book was everything I wanted and more!! Theo Silva is coming for Daddy Cade's #1 spot on my Dilf list. I don't usually care for the secret baby trope, but this one was written phenomenally and well done! Theo being a girl dad made all the sense in the world. He gives off major girl-dad energy, and I was living for every moment of watching him become the best father.

Aside from the romance, Winter's redemption arc was exceptional. I'm glad ES had a side plot of Summer & Winter mending their relationship, and we, as the readers, got to go along that journey with them. That aspect made me love this story that much more.

I cannot wait for Beau's story to be released later this year!

I loved Winter and Theo together! They way Theo pushed Winter’s buttons to the point of verbal warfare cracked me up! And when he finds out about Vivi…..*heart melts* 🥹

Loved the reverse grumpy/sunshine. Loved how patient Theo was with Winter. Loved that there was no third act breakup. All together, the book was really cute.
