This is absolutely the peak of Elsie Silver’s writing because I fell in love with BOTH Winter and Theo. I know a lot of people hesitate when it comes to picking up anything with the pregnancy trope, but Reckless feels like a warm hug on a freezing, winter night so I’d suggest giving this a chance. Theo Silva is one of the most amazing men I’ve read about. He’s not perfect but he’s the perfect one for Winter. There’s something profoundly charming about having someone look at you and just know you. The banter and smut here were incredibly good and fun to read. Vivi was an adorable addition too!

I was here ready for a discussion about the importance of women’s reproductive rights and bodily autonomy in the wild west, maybe even a lil bit of republican man and religion vs medical girlboss but all I got was a very clumsily graphic description of a vagina 😔🤚🏼

Winter, a doctor with an ass of a husband and the ice queen as she is always described, isn’t as icy as anyone might think. because it is only a thin layer to her warm interior. One Theo Silva, a bull rider that is 2 years younger than her, is confident in getting through to her.

Perhaps no one anticipated that the night they met will bind their lives forever as new life started. But it never is easy just like that.

All I can say is that I fricking love Elsie Silver and that I can’t wait for the next (last book I am afraid). But I am so happy I decided to pick up the first book just because I saw a thing about the cowboy hat tule on the internet.

Winter is such a strong woman. Going through what she has and still standing strong on her feet is admirable and I am so glad Theo finally showed her that she has people around her to lean against.

That said, Theo is also just a sweet golden retriever with kinky side (literally barked at her). The way he immediately dropped everything to step into the role of fatherhood is also something to admire.

And now I can’t wait for Hopeless to come out. But I know I will be sad saying goodbye to these people.
