this was so CUTE!!!!!!! i liked this so much more than henna wars. both hani and ishu were such good characters, they were so unique and dynamic and the opposites attract of it all was so lovely. hani's relationship with her family was so cute and i related a lot to ishu's relationship w her family but ah ha ha. loved it. incredible. literally read it in a day.

I read this book in one sitting, it was a wonderful time. The two main characters were great, the sunshine vs the grump falling in love trope is alive and well and thriving in here.

I liked all the side storylines, like Ishu's father's political campaign and the problems with her friend group, and Hani's own family problems when her older sister comes back from college with a bombshell to drop, making her parents scrutiny and pressures even more weighty on Hani's shoulders.

All in all it was a cute read, I was rooting for both girls, wanting to bonk their heads together to get them to realise that they both felt the feels for reals!
