I don't read supernatural very often. It's not a genre that I seek out. However, I like this author's imagination. I know this storyline would also have some gore to it..I was correct. The gore level at the end was plenty to please me.
The story itself was quite interesting. Being a writer myself, I found a plot about a missing author ( lost in seclusion to write a book) enough to catch my attention.
Being immersed into another world ( Static Earth) felt more like a fantasy novel. I wish we could have learned more about that world.
No matter what sub-genre of horror you prefer, this books covers plenty of them and will probably hit on things that just about reader would like

What a horrific man. I will say I was intrigued and wanted to read the book Drake had written that caused such a stir. This book was all over the place and nothing liked I expected. I really loved the ending. It lost me a tad throughout.
