filed under: fake dating a male friend but falling for his sister at a family holiday

i enjoyed reading this but it's kinda cliche and predictable. i'm also not a huge fan of instalove but it's a short book, so what can they do? i like charlie, reagan and jamie's dynamics, but oh boy, the amount of miscommunication is insane. literally all of their problems could be solved if they just talked to each other.

i gave it two stars because i'm following a rating system and it's meh. i added a .25 because of nana's character. she's cool and i wish she's given more screen time lol. nana for the win!

I read this last night on a whim and in one sitting, and it was surprisingly good? Granted, it wasn't perfect. The characters - well, one, mostly - started to make no sense anymore and acted kind of hateful for no reason, the romance was a tad bit too instalove-y for me, and there were some loose ends that the author didn't tie up neatly. Plus, I wasn't the biggest fan of the ending, tbh.

However, the story was very entertaining to read, and I did like the main couple (they just moved way too fast for my liking, but I guess that's lesbians for you). I also really liked the idea of the story, for some reason. It didn't quite live up to my expectations or its potential, but it was still a nice and solid read.
