I wanted to enjoy this, but the language is so repetitive and nothing is happening plot-wise. Just not invested in the story or characters. Too bad because I enjoyed For the Wolf quite a bit.

First I’m struggling to even finish this book and then I’m fucking crying. Make it make sense.

So I wasn't the biggest fan of For the Wolf. I just couldn't get into the story and found the book to be a bit of a drag at times. For the Throne wasn't as slow as the first book, which helped me get through it without feeling like I HAD to push on. But I'm still not able to connect with the story.

You know that saying where you forget you're reading because you're so into the story? Yeah, I couldn't see past the words on the pages. I believe this was supposed to be a dark world with scary creatures but I just couldn't visualize anything in this book. And something I noticed was how much repetition was in both books. The best example I can think of would be just how many times "in my middle" was used.

Anyway, I was hoping to get more enjoyment from this duology but unfortunately, I didn't.
