It is absolutely beautifully written but I did feel like it lingered a bit too long on Hua's interest and zine making and a bit too little on the personalities of his friends, especially Ken. But still I do think it's a very good memoir, that I'd recommend.

*No rating for memoirs*
challenging emotional sad slow-paced

The first half is great. The second half was not for me. It focuses on grief.

I have an unpopular opinion that there needs to be an age minimum to write a memoir. I feel like this could prevent some memoirs from falling flat. The author clearly adores writing and has talent. Perhaps this just wasn’t ready?

A quick and very beautiful read. I loved it.
