Great story! Can be a standalone read but is a good introduction to the series!

Fast paced.
Quick to read.
Very intriguing throughout.
I haven’t read that many paranormal books but this one had me wondering if I would like it and so far I am loving this series and the characters.
Ash, the alpha bear and sheriff of his town, risks everything to find his mate and claim her but it goes against everything he knows is tradition but maybe some things are worth it in the end.
Meg, the good doctor and town vampire. With the impending consequence of being staked for anything other than practicing medicine looming over her head is it worth it for her to put her life on the line to be claimed but a shifter who is all alpha.
This story was quick and fast but full of all the goodness that comes from a love story line. A forbidden romance that I cant wait to see what it turns into.

This wasn't a bad read, and the plot was promising, it's just that there was stuff dropped around the story that just...fizzled. I get that it'll probably be addressed in the next books, but that doesn't help me enjoy this one more.
