Sister Wives

This is my first read by Briana Cole and it was definitely entertaining, interesting characters and full of drama!! Kimera loved keeping secrets and look what it got her.

Wow

This book was really good and had me on the edge of my seat until the last page. Even though a similar story may have been told before it definitely wasn’t done like this. I’m rushing this review to get to part 2 now!

I was excited to find this author and see that several of her books were free on audible. I started with this one but was very disappointed.

Kimera is just a character I could not like. She would do anything for money and also was really dumb about it. She signed a marriage contract she did not read, did not follow up on why she was fired, nor on any warnings and clues...did not understand things even when they were obvious.
It was also not believable that she loved the other man as she treated him with so little respect and never told him the truth.
There were a few times in the book, like when her sister-wive died, where an interesting story could have happened, but despite the words her sister spoke before she died, nor the diaries led to anything. Even when her husband gave her a significant warning and then died, she was foolish. There was no big surprise as it was quite clear who the villain in the story was, the only person that did not get it was Kimera. This book was too frustrating.

I'm not surprised that I liked this book. I've never heard of this author, but I think she did a good job with this story. I was shocked at the ending. I wasn't expecting to read what I did. A well written and enjoyable story and I can't wait to see what the author comes up with next. A story full of surprises and suspense.

Thanks to NetGalley, Kinsington books and Briana Cole for an ARC of this book.

Not all women are looking for love but want the occasional companionship of a man. This is Kimera Davis. She takes pleasure in dating married men because it offered what she needed without all the complications. Her live is thrown a curve when the situation she thought she controlled, she finds herself out of control. Oh this book was spicy and dramatic! This was my first read by Briana Cole but it won't be my last.

Polygamy, sex, lies, and murder! Check, check, checkkk! Who would sign up to be a sister-wife? (depends on the benefit package) Kimera thinks “marrying” Leo is the perfect answer for her money woes, and to help her achieve her goals of starting a business. But, after moving in she quickly finds she got more than she bargained for.

I finished the first book, The Wives We Play, in one sitting as it was fast-paced and I had to know how things would play out. I absolutely didn’t like Kimera at all, nor the careless decisions she made, but enjoyed all of the drama unfolding throughout.
