Top tier smut. Book probably should have been book one instead of two because we knew what was going to happen for the entirety of the book! It was a little trusting. So much so that I skipped a bunch of it. The smex scenes were good tho. I have a thing for being watched tho so there’s that.
I bounced around with the rating for this one a lot. It had some good spicy scenes - so if you’re here for that, I recommend. But the whole ‘lamb’ & ‘wolf’ nicknames were a bit too much for me, I constantly found myself ignoring them so I wouldn’t cringe. (just not my cup of tea, personally).
I also did find myself getting a bit over the book, maybe halfway through. It had a lot of tropes that I tend to enjoy, brothers best friend and mafia/mob but it almost felt like too much, having them all involved even though it’s something I’d normally enjoy.
I do feel like there will be a sequel coming, if there isn’t one already and I am a bit interested in it but we will just have to wait and see if I’ll check it out or not.

So I've been going back between two star and three star reading I think I'm going to settle on a solid 2.5. not because it wasn't a good book like I enjoyed it and the writing wasn't bad but there were a few things that kind of rubbed me the wrong way just a bit. And it more so had to go around the fact that I feel like issues between them from the past weren't fully addressed by the two main characters and all of sudden they had moved past it like did they really get closer or were they just putting in the past and moving forward. But I also understand I don't think this was really one of those books that really divulged super deep into character development and plot development I feel like the basis of the book was enjoyment and really great smart and that's what I got from it I enjoyed reading it and it was great smart so for that 2.5 maybe a 3 but I think about it long enough.

I enjoyed this one more than the first, and am finding myself consuming Shain Rose's works at a slightly alarming pace. I wish that their relationship had developed a bit more over time, rather than having such a large gap between pre and post college, but I understand the plot reasoning behind it.
I also wish that she had never questioned her sisters sobriety. I know that is not a huge point in the book, and she does feel bad about it later, but man, as a twin I just can't imagine not knowing when they're high and then blaming them for stuff before even asking for an explanation. I think that her staying strong by her side might've even made Izzy's story in the third book that much better.
I loved these two characters together, though Dante is hardly anything like what he was presented as in the first book. That's ok, I just had to tell myself he was an entirely different person haha.

So So Good!
I read this book in a little under one day and it was absolutely incredible. This book checked all the boxes and so much more for me. This book had brothers best friend, second chance, sister rivalry, mafia, and the smut was out of this world. I absolutely adored Delilah and Dante. I also loved how this author talked about hard things. This book had stuff in it that can be hard to read but it was SOOO good! Bravo bravo bravo!

this was the fastest i think ive read a book. i should have read this one first before corrupted chaos but i LOVED dante
Dante. Reid. This was my first Shain book, and I recently reread it, and ugh. Dante. I love that man. There’s just something about his possessiveness that I eat up every time. Lilah & Dante have so much more history than anyone realizes, and there’s a world of hurt and secrets between them. Secrets that have Lilah believing the two of them could never work. Dante’s family has him questioning whether they can work out, but he gives up on staying away and is determined to help Lilah see that they’re meant to be. The spice is spicin’ between these two, and I enjoyed rereading this one!
