Delicious and full of spice. My only complaint is that I think the *drama* of the main characters not being together was a little drug out. First one wanted the relationship and then the other. Then both, and at one point neither did. Delilah’s reasoning seemed stupid and maybe a little drug out for book length purposes? Also, the writing was a little difficult to read in some spots, like the wording and sentence structure was off somehow? But either way, I couldn’t put it down and the spice had my eyes popping in certain spots!
It felt like the book was trying to explore too many things at once. Was the main objective of the book the drug bust? The two characters falling in love and finding their way back to each other? Dealing with depression? Her sister? Her relationship with her family? Relationship with herself? It felt like the purpose of the book changed multiple times. There was too much emphasis on too many themes AT THE SAME TIME. Instead of making one theme the star of the story and having some subplots supporting the main theme. It felt like the main plot changed multiple times throughout the story. It was a little bit exhausting.
The smut was actually good better than a good chunk of the books I’ve read this year and definitely had a unique element to it. It was very well thought-out and edited but I can’t say the same for the rest of the book. It felt underwhelming in comparison and lacking in terms of a main plot. I really wanted to like the main character but there were some inconsistencies within the book. For example, she admits to being in love with Dante but then she says she doesn’t know if she does love him. Afterwards she says she does but wants to check off #5 on her list yet admits no one makes her feel like Dante. I got whiplash from the back and forth on the #5 of her list despite him flat out saying she’s it for him multiple times and her love for him.

2.5✨ Good concept however the FMC I just found too annoying, writing style not really for me. I found the pet names over used. Booktok hyped this too much and the spice was nothing special in comparison to a lot of the books I’ve read
A little slow for me but I like the theme. Her father was my favorite in the last chapter.
